Day 1: Ouarzazate – Gorges of Dadès – Gorges of Todra

Departure in direction of the Valley of the roses and the thousand Kasbahs. In front of your eyes unfolds on a length of a 170 kilometres one of the most extraordinary landscapes of Morocco – from El Kelâa M’Gouna, the capital of the roses, until the gorge of the Dadès and the fascinating rock face “Monkey’s fingers”. After a stroll through the gorge and lunch we drive back towards Boumalne Dadès and finally to Tinghir where you discover the palm grove of the Todra. In an otherwise desert like landscape the vast greenery extends on a length of 20 kilometres. It ends in a breathtaking rock face, 300 meters in

height, and impressive ochre and red coloured canyons. Overnight stay in the gorge.

Day 2: Tinghir – Tinjdad – Merzouga (200 Km)

After a stroll through the gorge and in the palm grove of the Todra we continue our journey towards Erfoud through the Valley of Tafilalet and by the presaharan villages and oases. Arrival in Merzouga at the edge of the world famous dunes of the Erg Chebbi. On a dromedary you ride into the sunset (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours). Dinner and overnight stay in nomad tents in the dunes. (the camp is fully equipped with carpets, mattresses, sheets and lanterns).

Day 3: Merzouga – N’Kob – Valley of the Drâa – Tamnougalt – Ouarzazate (340 Km)

After sunrise you ride on the dromedary back to the Hotel where breakfast and a hot shower await you. Afterwards we depart towards Rissani and n’Kob over the presaharian plateau, passing by vast acacia forests. Arrival in Tansikht at the crossroad with the Valley of the Drâa. We continue our journey towards Tamnougalt where we visit the 16th century Kasbah. After a stroll through the palm grove we drive back to Ouarzazate by the pass Tizi Tinifift and through lunar landscapes. You arrive back at your hotel late in the afternoon.
